The accessory with micromanipulator can handle difficult sample such as gripping and collecting 20μm foreign substance from an inside an adhesive material, gripping 20μm diameter wire and position it on the precise location and the others that human hand cannot do.

 

Tweezers of the Mechanical Microtweezer Tool Set can be opened and closed by mechanical handle, on the other hand, Electronic Microtweezer Tool Set can control the same motion by the software of our manipulator system.

Both microtweezer sets can select a suitable size of the tweezers among 15μm, 25μm and 50μm.

The milling area and depth can be controlled through selection of the appropriate milling tools.

Combined with Axis-Pro or Quick-Pro and Milling Pro enables to cut the specified area and depth by semi-automatic function.

Milling Pro enables not only cutting the Resins and Metal samples but also marking on surface of them.

We recently announced the new tool for Milling Pro.

・Diamond Knife 10µm(DK-10SC)

This is a useful for the samples that is difficult to scape by tungsten carbide tools such as robber samples.

Quick Pro is an independent micromanipulator arm that can be added to any microscope.
Quick Pro can be supplied with one arm or two.
The Quick Pro system can assist your micro sampling for many situations including  isolating small particles, cutting thin films, scraping the surface of a material and contact points for electrical probing.
 
 

The Quick Pro arm motion is controlled by a standard PC mouse with an accuracy of 0.1μm.

All of our micro tools can be used with the arm including electrical probing (shown in the above picture). 

You can choose among Right arm, Left arm, 2 arms or  up to 4 arms.Any configuration can easily be upgraded in the future as the need arises!

Over the past few years, many customers have asked for the capability to do micro-spot welding.Now we are pleased to announce the MW-2 Micro -spot welding system. This system can be used for a wide range of applications including the preparation of four-terminal electrodes for high pressure measurement.
 

Micro-spot welding system was developed for small wiring like 30μm wire
Welding conditions can be adjusted to deliver small currents.
Welder delivers controlled current for successful welds.
Energy stored in large capacity capacitor delivered as a pulse current to target.  This produces high-quality welds and reduces the chance of surface flash, and sputtering.

D-MARK: Simple marking of small object on sample. D-MARK works well on a range of different samples including wafers, resins, and glass.

 

Marking on the sample is one of the important sample preparation steps for failure analysis.

We recently released a new type of marking system which uses a diamond stylus called D-MARK.

This is the D-MARK desktop marking system before sample analysis.

Observe object under objective lens, and then diamond styles marks the point automatically.

There are several different types of marking patterns including Dot, Cross, Vertical line, Diamond and others.

By using Pulsed mode, damage of sample caused by this system is much less than one caused by Laser making system and there are no debris by the operation of the system.

This system also can make multiple indentations on a wafer chip surface to cleave the wafer.

AI Deep Learning is becoming a common method for advanced image analysis in science and engineering.

We would like to introduce an automatic Grain Manipulation System for the collection and sorting of small particles/grains with AI.

Micro-Grains
 

Collection Pro combines advanced grain imaging software and Axis Pro, Micro Support’s benchtop micromanipulator. 

Collection Pro can observe, classify, separate, and collect objects automatically.

After an initial screening where the user identifies the grains/particles to isolate, the Collection Pro software, with an AI deep learning system automatically identifies similar grains/particles for isolation using the Axis Pro system. This system increases the throughput of grain separation and reduces human error in the classification process.

We are pleased to inform you that our company has just started a newsletter for our overseas customers. 
 In the first article, we would like to introduce a new accessory.
 

New accessory for TEM lamella ex-situ lift out

 

Our micromanipulator can transfer FIB foils to TEM grids outside (ex situ) the SEM chamber.

For this application, we already have a manual method for FIB-Foil Transfer, using the Superfine Pitch Rotator (https://www.microsupport.co.jp/en/super-fine-pitch-rotator/) which can be rotated in the axis of the probe.

 

 
 
 

Our new automated lift-out solution is a motorized version which makes it possible to perform this foil rotation with control through the Micro Support Axis Pro software.

In this application, the software is able to memorize 2 arm positions.

 

The foil is picked up with our Vacuum Absorption Tool Set (https://www.microsupport.co.jp/en/vacuum-adsorption-tool-set/) to reduce the risk of losing the foil during transport.
